Part 3

Post your research topic to the discussion board and a possible research question/problem for your topic. This does not have to be your final research question/problem but it should be focused enough to guide your literature review.

Start your post off with your research topic and potential research question/problem.

• Do a search for one quality article about your topic that would include in your literature review (must be different than the article you posted last week.)
  • Do a general search for an article about your topic that is nota quality article (try to keep the article within the past year).
  • Post both links to each article and the citation in APA format but do not note which article is which.

For this class, you will choose a research topic and design a 3-5 question survey to study that topic. This project is designed to give you an idea of how to conduct educational research, how to interpret those results, and how those results can be used to affect teaching methods, curriculum, school policy, and educational law.

The core of your research project will be your research instrument, e.g. your survey. Surveys must collect data anonymously (i.e. they donâ€t ask for names or other information that can be used to identify someone) and be easily accessible such as through a web link.

Research the types of tests a student has to take for a specific grade level and when those tests are administered in your school district. (i.e. All high school seniors have to pass a state exam for basic literacy in order to graduate.)
